Award-winning independent filmmaker Tracy Droz Tragos brings real-world points of view to the topic of abortion with her latest documentary “Abortion: The Stories Women Tell”.
The documentary seeks to share the authentic voices of the population most affected by this topic – women. “We don’t hear from women enough”. Instead those farthest removed from the gut-wrenching circumstances and decision dominate the airways and policy narrative. Women from both sides of this topic are highlighted to portray a wide spectrum of view points and life experiences.
Droz Tragos’ previous works included Rich Hill – which tells the story of rural poverty and Be Good, Smile Pretty – which revisits the pain and loss of men who fought in Vietnam.
Abortion: Stories Women Tell premieres on HBO on Monday, April 3 at 8 pm.
