The Founders – Members of the Tribe
Chandra Briggman, Co-Founder
Chandra Briggman is a seasoned marketer, innovator and entrepreneur with over 17 years of experience that spans both start-ups and large enterprises. Her expertise includes marketing strategy, digital product development, web project management and innovation. She is the former Director of Digital Platforms & Innovations Lab for the U.S. Postal Service where she was instrumental in establishing and heading a digital innovation division. While in this intrapreneurial role, she introduced open innovation and lean start-up principles inside the $65 billion revenue-driven agency. Chandra has launched two start-up companies: iMark Innovations that helped small-businesses leverage technology to market their services and the Fashion Post which develops web utilities that simplify apparel commerce. Chandra Briggman graduated from the MIT-Sloan Business School in 2014, has a MS from the Johns Hopkins University and Bachelor’s degree from Columbia International University.
Aurélie Jean, Co-Founder
Aurélie Jean is a computational scientist with over 10 years of experience in applied mathematics. She has always been navigating in a male dominated scene, during her undergraduate studies, PhD and professional career, often facing challenges due to the gender gap in the representation of women in STEM fields. Aurélie has been largely involved in communicating on women and software programming, in encouraging girls to dive into coding toward empowering them and eventually erasing the gender gap in the tech workplace. In this context, she writes in blogs, gives speeches and interviews, and mentor individually girls, female students and young professionals, in order to inspire them to learn how to code. Her main goal in life is to expose girls to the same opportunities as boys.
